Rehabilitation in Germany

German medical rehabilitation is a structured system for recovery from surgeries, injuries, and serious illnesses. In Germany, rehabilitation is a mandatory part of treatment: every major surgical center works in conjunction with an accredited rehabilitation clinic.

The programs include physical therapy, occupational therapy, therapeutic exercise, balneotherapy (swimming pool, underwater massage), neuropsychology and speech therapy (for neurological cases), as well as psychological support. Patients work with a team of 5–8 specialists according to an individualized plan.

Sofortmed handles the entire process: selecting a treatment program, coordinating with the clinic, arranging transportation, providing an interpreter, monitoring progress, and communicating with the attending physician.
